Mes Puces de Theux - Fleamarket Treasures

Oh happy days!
Last Saturday was the day of the annual fleamarket in Theux.

We never had imagined that there is such a big number of exhibitors nor that it will be such long walk alongside the small stream, la Hoëgne. There were plenty of old or ancient interesting objects and treasures. As it was announced to be a hot summer day, we went very early and were lucky to find a parking space quite close. The streets were not yet busy and we were able to see all the details and the stands before it filled up with the crowds.
The very item which had to come with us was obviously the heaviest thing, one could find... C'est LE coup de coeur ---- thanks god, EG is very strong and could carry it all the way back to the car.

Plenty of people watched us, first they looked at the strong man, then at the object he was carrying.
And - before you ask - no, you can not borrough EG nor is the cast iron wall fountain for sale!
:-)))
For once, there was even old fabric on offer. I also found a box full of wooden bobins.

As it was such a good hunting day, we went next day as early to our local brocante and found other nice things for the garden.

Before it is too late and the bloom is over, here is a picture of the "house tree" in the front garden with Paul's Himalayan Musk conquering more and more of the beech tree every year.

What a great summer!
